We had a table booked for a 40th bday this Saturday for 9 people. We arrived at 5.10pm and expected the table until 6.30pm . Agreed we were unfortunately held behind at previous venue so we're regrettably 10 mins late for the booking. Nothing was said at the time, until 6.10pm the manager came over and told us the people who had the table from 6.30pm were early therefore we needed to leave the table. We explained we had the table booked until 6.30pm to then be told we were 'rude' with bad time management and as we were late we forfeited the booking. He told us we were rude for not calling and letting them know we were running late .. when we explained we had and they didn't answer... he said they were busy so what did we expect.... ? We are rude for not calling ahead but when our call isn't answered that it also our fault.? The people who came early have priority over us because we were 10 mins late? I've never been spoken to by a manager so rudely, he threatened to have us all thrown out by bouncers if we didn't move... we literally tried to explain and apologise but we were met with arrogance and absolute unwilling to listen to reason. 9 of us finishing our drinks which most of us had to leave without finishing for fear of being dragged out by bouncers... very unprofessional and has certainly put us off ever returning to bamboo door!

Great cocktails and the guy behind the bar was lovely - unfortunately a young dark haired girl who worked there spoilt all of this because she caused a huge scene and accused us of stealing glassware when we were on our way out. Even after emptying my bag onto the floor and proving there was nothing in there she still didn’t apologise and just walked off. Embarrassing. We were on a team night out and it’s definitely put us off going there again - such a shame because we were having a fantastic time up until this. I’d be so embarrassed if my staff behaved like this - sort it out Bamboo door.

I want to start this reviewing my saying bamboo door is one of my favourite places to go on a night out. I have a hard time seeing why anyone would give this place anything less than 5*. Not only do they do amazing drinks, but they always offer impeccable customer service. Kayleigh has really contributed a lot to the atmosphere of bamboo, and always makes sure customers are okay. If you have any concerns or issues. Gergo the bouncer is one of my favourites in Sheffield, he is always happy to listen and make sure your time at bamboo remains an unforgettable experience. Whether it’s having starting the night with a few drinks with your friends, or ending it at bamboo, the bar staff: Jack, Connor and Ariane always manage to make a drink that sorts you out. We love bamboo door in this house!!!
