We love a party, that’s no secret. @bountyrumstlucia also love a party, so much so they are known as the spirit of Carnival. Whilst we don’t have the ability to take the hut on a trip to Notting Hill Carnival, we thought we’d have a slice of the fun up ‘int North.

On Sunday 25th August our resident Kings of the Vibes @deejaytomp and @officialmxnic will be playing to the Carnival hymn sheet giving you all the best in soca, dancehall, rnb, afrobeats and amapiano. Behind the bar we’ll be throwing out tasty Bounty Rum bevs available Bank Holiday Sunday only!!

back to our drink series! This time it’s a fruity but punchy number with Chairman’s Reserve White Rum, Giffard Abricot du Roussillon, Bounty 151, strawberry puree and topped with soda.

Made by our GM and queen of tiki @kayleighemma23 inspired by strong fresh St. Lucian flavours (and the strawberry and apricot red bull, she is obsessed). back at it again, but this time with a slightly different style of drink. This one is a shorter serve but trust us, packs just as much of a punch. Vivir Añejo tequila, Nixta corn liqueur, Giffard Caramel syrup, Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Bitters, Angostura Bitters and a pinch of salt stirred down to create a really delicious popcorn-esque tequila old fashioned.

This is another @connormarvellous creation. He is your man for all things agave and this drink is no exception. Pop(corn) down to the bar and give it a go!🍿

we’re sure you’ve all been eagerly awaiting our next new drink intro…this time it is a gin based drink! With Bombay Sapphire Bramble, Giffard Sour Apple liqueur, lemon juice, gomme, apple juice and topped with Ting Grapefruit soda this is a long, fruity and tangy bev. To top it all off, there is a yummy sour cherry sweet - alcohol and snacks is a winning combo in our book.

This drink was made by our GM (or Queen of the hut, however you wish to refer to her) @kayleighemma23 and you can definitely tell. Very much in her wheelhouse of sweet yet boozy, give this one a try next time you are down…🏝️

Next up on our “hi, look at our new drinks” series is a long, fruity yet light agave based drink. Made with Patrón Reposado tequila, FAIR Açai Berry liqueur, grapefruit juice, citrus, Giffard Grenadine syrup, agave syrup and ginger beer this drink blends the tasty grapefruit and agave flavours of a paloma with the fruity vibes and light fizz of ginger beer from an el diablo.

This drink was created by our Head Bartender (or king tiki monkey depends what title you prefer..) @connormarvellous - if you wanna know anything agave he is your man and this drink is perfect even for those who don’t always enjoy tequila!

Next up on our introduction to our tasty new drinks is the Rickety Split. A creamy and desserty drink featuring punchy Old J Tiki Fire (a cheeky 75.5% rum), Banane du Bresil, honey syrup, orgeat and half and half (that’s half milk and half cream btw).

This drink was created by @callenderadam and for him being in his first year of bartending ever - were super proud of him and his tasty tasty drink. It’s also garnished with a baby stroopwaffel and who doesn’t love a snack?

It’s officially been 6 weeks since we launched our shiny new menu. Down at the hut we are super proud of ourselves and all the hard work we put it into these drinks, so over the next few weeks we’re going to introduce you to each new bev!

First up, we have ‘Nice Blueb’s’ (pronounced like blewbs, there’s a cheeky joke in there👀). Made with Absolut Citron, Giffard Abricot du Roussillon, blueberry Re’al and topped with soda, this drink is a long serve that is tangy and fruity. This drink was made by one of our tiki queens - @rhianharrison and she really knocked it out of the park, or would it be out of the hut??

As you are all aware by now (we won’t shut up about it) our talented tiki monkey and head bartender @connormarvellous earned a spot in the @worldclassgreatbritain Top 100.

The next phase of his mission to conquer the Top 100 is a series of specials featuring @tanqueraygin @thesingletonwhisky and @seedlipdrinks that not only showcase his ridiculous amount of skills but also encapsulates the Bamboo Door vibe in alcoholic and non-alcoholic serves.

Running from today until April 30th - get your hands on some tasty World Class bevs and hear Connor’s extensive knowledge from the man himself.

Women are magic. The hut had been proof of this for nearly a decade. This International Women’s Day we say a big thank you to all the tiki queens past, present and future that make Bamboo Door what it is. Thank you for your wisdom, talent and pure chaos - we wouldn’t have you any other way.

This Wednesday, our head bartender @connormarvellous found out he was in the Top 100 in the @worldclassgreatbritain competition.

There is plenty more hard work to come for Connor in this comp but we are here to support him every step of the way.

Not only did our sweet boy make Top 100 (Top 1 to us) but Sheffield managed to bag a hefty 6% of this list. Well done to our Steel City family @p_u_b_l_i_c_ and @pearlatparkhill and good luck for the next stages. The North as a whole managed to secure about 1/5 of the Top 100 and we couldn’t be more excited to see the recognition of our talented bartenders. The North remembers!!

Also, a big well done to our fave Manx men @drewfleming00 and @keoghantaylor from @kikis.lounge we are super proud of you kittens too🇮🇲
